One of the biggest motivators for reviewing the HBUDS H13 wireless charger was that I am tired of constantly having to purchase new charging cables after the connector wears out. It happens every few months due to repeatedly connecting the charging cable to my phone. And the price of those cables can add up. I also wanted to see how practical a wireless charging device would be in my bedroom or for use in my office.

How the HBUDS H13 Wireless Charger Works
The HBUDS H13 wireless fast charging station must be first plugged into a charging plug that is not provided in the box. Once plugged in you will place your device directly in the middle of the charging pad. Once connected placed in the proper location on the pad it will wirelessly begin charging your phone.
You can place the phone vertically or horizontally on the charger and it will work. If off centered for any reasons the device will not continue to charge your phone.
Be sure to read the HUBDS directions for examples of how it should be positioned.
It can not charge through metal cases or cases thicker than 3mm.
It should be noted that Phones with Qi-enabled wireless charging technology are compatible. Popular phones it’s compatible with include:
- iPhone 8 / 8 Plus / X
- Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, S7, S7 Edge, Note 8, and S6 Edge Plus
How Well The HBUDS H13 Wireless Works
I have tested the device intermittently over one week and found it to work well. It does wirelessly quick charge my Samsung Note 5 at a decent charge rate. I found that it does not charge as fast as plugging my phone directly into a quick charging plug which I thought would be expected since it is charging a device wirelessly.
When you place the phone on this device sometimes it connects to the charger right away and other times you have to play with the location on the device for a second to hit the sweet spot where it will begin charging.
My Final Thoughts on HBUDS H13 Wireless Charger
What I like about this device
I really like the look and feel of this wireless charger. It is really thin and has a synthetic leather charging pad which I am sure serves several purposes like keeping your phone from slipping off the device and having a soft surface as to not scratch your phone in any way.
The bottom of the HBUDS H13 wireless charger pad has nice little nubs on the bottom. This helps the charging pad from sliding and protects the surface that it sits on.
What Could be Better
I have never owned a wireless charging pad so I have nothing to compare it to other than the standard way of charging a phone. I think the only thing I would hope for is that it would have the ability to charge as fast as when my phone is directly plugged into the wall. Now, this could be related to my phone just not accepting the charge fast enough or this could be the standard for wireless chargers. I won’t know until I test more of these devices in the future. When I do I will update this review.
Other than that, I really like this device and feel that it is a very affordable charger considering I know there are other wireless chargers that are much more expensive.
I completely plan on using this in my office where I do a lot of work as a private investigator. I am always coming and going from the office and it eliminates one more cable I will need to purchase in the future.
